Reading interest is an important aspect in developing elementary school students' literacy. However, various studies indicate that student reading interest in Indonesia is still relatively low, so effective and contextual learning strategies are needed. This study aims to describe teacher strategies in developing elementary school students' reading interest at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Modern Sahid. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies involving class teachers, the principal, students in grades IV–VI, and parents. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that teachers implemented various strategies to foster students' reading interest, including storytelling methods, providing reading corners in the classroom, utilizing digital media and interactive technology, implementing a programmed School Literacy Movement, and providing appreciation for students' reading activities. In addition, collaboration between schools, parents, and the literacy community also strengthened the formation of a sustainable reading culture. This study concluded that creative teacher strategies, supported by the school and family environment, play a significant role in increasing elementary school students' reading interest.
