Employing a qualitative historical approach, the research draws upon primary sources such as Tarikh al-Ṭabari and Al-Bidayah wa al-Nihayah, complemented by contemporary academic literature. The findings reveal that scholars such as Hasan al-Basri and Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri served as teachers, jurists, and codifiers of hadith through halaqah-based learning, mosque circles, and scholarly travel (rihlah ilmiyyah). Educational institutions including mosques, scholarly circles, and early libraries played a crucial role in transmitting knowledge and developing networks of learning grounded in sanad. The curriculum centered on the Qur’an, hadith, fiqh, and the Arabic language, delivered through memorization, oral transmission, and dialogical methods. The study affirms that the Umayyad era laid an essential intellectual foundation for the more structured educational system that emerged under the Abbasid Caliphate and marked the initial phase of interaction between religious and rational sciences. Further comparative research is recommended to examine the intellectual continuity between the Umayyad and Abbasid periods.
Almanar Eva Dewi Sutarmo Copyright (c) 2025 Almanar, Eva Dewi, Sutarmo https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-12-09 2025-12-09 13 02 9 18 10.56406/jurnalkajianislammodern.v13i02.786 ANALYSIS OF FACTORS AFFECTING LEARNING FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF ISLAMIC EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY https://jurnal-inais.id/index.php/JKIM/article/view/787
Learning is the core of the entire process of educational activities that take place. The quality of the learning process greatly determines the quality of the overall educational outcome, including in the formation of the character and personality of students. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the learning process of students in the perspective of Islamic educational psychology. This study departs from the understanding that the learning process does not only involve cognitive aspects, but also includes affective and spiritual dimensions, which are the main focus in Islamic education. This study uses a literature review method with primary sources from books on Islamic educational psychology. Secondary sources include various literature such as scientific journals and relevant books that can support the depth and sharpness of the research analysis. The results show that the factors that influence learning can generally be grouped into two, namely internal and external factors. Internal factors include physiological, psychological conditions (intelligence, attention, interest, talent, motivation, attitude, maturity and readiness), and fatigue. Meanwhile, external factors include family, school and community environments. In the perspective of Islamic educational psychology, these factors need to be understood holistically because they are related to the formation of students' morals, spirituality, and Islamic personality. This research contributes to designing learning strategies that are more meaningful, integrative, and contextual in accordance with Islamic values, as well as strengthening the role of teachers, parents, and society in creating a conducive learning environment for the formation of the ideal human being (insan kamil).
Rahmi Maldini Efendi Muslim Afandi Mhd. The background of this study states that there is a shift in children's learning interests along with the development of information technology that provides easy access to various learning resources. The use of gadgets among students, although presenting some problems, also offers significant potential in increasing learning motivation. The research method used was a survey with a questionnaire distributed to 17 junior high school students at Edu Privat Beurawe, which explored the frequency of gadget use and its impact on their learning motivation. Data analysis showed that 80% of students used gadgets to study for 2-3 hours per day, and the results indicated a significant positive relationship between gadget use and learning motivation (p < 0.05). Students who actively used gadgets for educational purposes showed higher learning motivation scores with an average of 78 compared to those who used gadgets less who only reached an average of 65. However, around 35% of respondents reported that they were often distracted by non-educational applications, indicating challenges that need to be addressed. This study provides insight into teaching strategies in the digital era that can create a more engaging and effective learning environment for students.
Nurlailan Kandi Ainal Mardhiah Nurjanah Ismail Edi Darmawijaya Copyright (c) 2025 Nurlailan Kandi, Ainal Mardhiah, Nurjanah Ismail, Edi Darmawijaya https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-12-09 2025-12-09 13 02 35 40 10.56406/jurnalkajianislammodern.v13i02.734 DISSEMINATION OF AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION ON YOUTUBE: A NETNOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS OF AUDIENCE RECEPTION ON FIELD AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION CHANNELS https://jurnal-inais.id/index.php/JKIM/article/view/879
This study analyzes audience reception of digital agricultural extension messages delivered through the Penyuluh Pertanian Lapangan YouTube channel. The transition from face-to-face agricultural extension to digital platforms signifies a major shift in how farmers access and apply agricultural knowledge. Using Stuart Hall’s (1980) encoding/decoding reception model and a qualitative netnographic approach, this research examined 240 audience comments on selected videos to identify recurring meanings and patterns of response. Findings reveal that most audiences demonstrate dominant-hegemonic readings, fully accepting the messages as credible and practical sources of agricultural information. Others show negotiated readings by adapting the messages to their local farming contexts, while oppositional readings appear in critiques of technical language and presentation style. Six main themes emerged: educational appreciation, communication style, validation of field practice, social contextualization, critique of terminology, and religious expressions. Factors shaping audience reception include farming experience, digital literacy, educational background, geographical context, and perceived credibility of the instructor. This study concludes that YouTube-based agricultural extension fosters participatory learning that strengthens knowledge transfer and farmer empowerment. Theoretically, it extends audience reception studies into digital agricultural communication, while practically, it offers insight for developing participatory and context-sensitive communication strategies in digital extension programs.
Diadji Kuntoro Febri Palupi Muslikhah Copyright (c) 2025 Diadji Kuntoro, Febri Palupi Muslikhah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-12-09 2025-12-09 13 02 41 51 10.56406/jurnalkajianislammodern.v13i02.879 MEDIA ARISAN: DEVELOPMENT OF AUGMENTED REALITY BASED SCIENCE LEARNING MEDIA USING ASSEMBLR EDU FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS https://jurnal-inais.id/index.php/JKIM/article/view/864
This study aims to develop Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media called ARISAN (Augmented Reality Human Digestive System) to improve fifth-grade students' conceptual understanding of Natural Sciences (IPA) at SDN Cibatok 04. This study uses a Research and Development (RnD) model with the ADDIE approach, which includes needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The implementation of ARISAN media in the classroom shows a significant increase in students' conceptual understanding, with the average pretest score increasing from 48.19 to 73.52 in the posttest. The hypothesis test shows a significance value of 0.001, indicating a significant increase. Evaluations from teachers and students show that ARISAN media is interesting and easy to understand. This study concludes that AR-based learning media can improve students' conceptual understanding and provide a fun learning experience, and is expected to be a reference for the development of innovative media in the future.
Alma Amalia Fauziah Hana Lestari Tita Hasanah Copyright (c) 2025 Alma Amalia Fauziah, Hana Lestari, Tita Hasanah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-12-09 2025-12-09 13 02 52 64 10.56406/jurnalkajianislammodern.v13i02.864 GENDER EMPOWERMENT IN ISLAMIC EDUCATION https://jurnal-inais.id/index.php/JKIM/article/view/761
Gender issues have been a continuous topic of discussion from the era of Jahiliyyah until today. The idea of gender equality in education has become increasingly important to be studied, resolved, and implemented in both educational institutions and society. For thousands of years, discriminatory practices against women have created a doctrine that women should not be involved in economic, political, religious, or educational spheres. This social inequality has led to limited access for women to formal education and an increase in gender-based violence. In Islamic teachings, however, women are highly respected and honored, even though certain boundaries are set by religion. This study uses a library research method by collecting various literatures related to the strengthening of gender roles in Islamic education. The findings show that gender empowerment in Islamic education today can be seen through the increasing access of women to education, the development of gender-responsive curricula, the emergence of female scholars and academics, supportive government and institutional policies, and Islamic character education that emphasizes justice and equality. The study concludes that Islamic education is currently moving toward justice and gender equality while maintaining the fundamental Islamic values that uphold morality and spirituality in human life.
Ahmad Rizal Supriyadi Ade Darma Mumu Zainal Mutaqin Muhammad Arifin Copyright (c) 2025 Ahmad Rizal Supriyadi, Ade Darma, Mumu Zainal Mutaqin, Muhammad Arifin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-12-09 2025-12-09 13 02 65 74 10.56406/jurnalkajianislammodern.v13i02.761 IMPLEMENTATION OF RELIGIOUS MODERATION AT MIS MATHA’UL ANWAR CIBONGKOK MENES PANDEGLANG BANTEN https://jurnal-inais.id/index.php/JKIM/article/view/741
This study aims to examine the extent to which religious moderation based on the values of wasathiyyah is implemented within the environment of MIS Mathla’ul Anwar Cibongkok, Pandeglang, Banten, particularly in the context of Islamic Religious Education. A qualitative approach was employed, with data collected from 110 students through direct observation, semi-structured interviews, documentation, and focus group discussions (FGDs) involving 3–5 students per group. In addition, field notes were taken by the researcher to capture undocumented observations. The findings reveal that the implementation of religious moderation policies at MIS Mathla’ul Anwar Cibongkok Menes, Pandeglang, Banten, is still strongly upheld by many students. This is largely attributed to the foundational religious upbringing provided by their parents. The study underscores that parents serve as the first educators for their children, instilling Islamic values and guiding them to avoid actions that deviate from shar’i (Islamic law). These findings can serve as a valuable reference for the development of parenting education programs organized by educational institutions across Indonesia.
Martina Aam Musfiroh Mumu Zainal Mutaqin Muhammad Arifin Copyright (c) 2025 Martina, Aam Musfiroh, Mumu Zainal Mutaqin, Muhammad Arifin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-12-09 2025-12-09 13 02 75 85 10.56406/jurnalkajianislammodern.v13i02.741 MAXIMIZING CLASSROOM ARRANGEMENT IN SHAPING AN INTERACTIVE AND INNOVATIVE ISLAMIC EDUCATION LEARNING ENVIRONMENT https://jurnal-inais.id/index.php/JKIM/article/view/791
Classroom spatial arrangement plays a pivotal role in enhancing the effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education (PAI), particularly in fostering an interactive and innovative learning atmosphere.
