This study aims to determine the role of the madrasah principal's leadership in building a religious culture at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sirojul Athfal. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with primary data sources from three respondents and secondary data obtained from other related parties. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis is carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, triangulation of sources and techniques, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the madrasah principal has an excellent leadership role as a strong, disciplined, communicative leader, and has good managerial skills in managing madrasah policies and activities. The madrasah principal also plays a role as a motivator, administrator, manager, supervisor, educator, and innovator who is able to raise the spirit of all elements of the madrasah. The religious culture at the Sirojul Athfal Elementary Madrasah is well-developed through various activities such as memorizing short surahs (chapters), congregational Dhuha and Dhuhur prayers, muhadharah (religious study), calligraphy, hadrah (religious reading), marawis (religious rituals), celebration of Islamic holidays, and the implementation of zakat fitrah (almsgiving) and qurban (sacrifice). Thus, the leadership of the madrasah principal contributes significantly to shaping and strengthening the religious culture within the madrasah.
